This position typically reports to the Payment Posting Supervisor and Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor production and quality for ERA, manual posting, and correspondence batches for outsource vendor team and help with any clarifications.
- Understand all aspects of an EOB/ERA; including the billed amount; allowed amount; deductibles; coinsurance's; and co-payments.
- Works directly with Payment Posting Supervisor on for Missing ERA and Payments.
- Research payment posting and balancing issues using bank account, clearinghouse and billing system.
- Assists and resolves escalated matters for external vendor teams in timely manner.
- Enrolls payors with ERA and EFT as needed to maximize automation and reduce paper processes. Audit of Lock box checks received.
- Meet monthly closing deadlines; effectively communicates any issues impacting closing schedules.
- Post all line-item payments and document all retractions / offsets, posting denials, and rejections using ANSI Codes or other system transaction codes.
- Demonstrates team player qualities to promote a positive working environment.
- Any other job duties necessary to complete work-related volume
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5 years of Payment Posting Experience
- 5 years of Refund Experience
- At least 5 years progressive professional experience in revenue cycle
- Excellent communication, analytical skills and attention to detail required
- Proficient in Cash Posting and Refunds process
- Knowledge of payment portals, insurance portals, ERA, EFT, EOB.
- Critical Thinking Skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Miramar, FL 33027
