Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

Sunshine Avionics LLC, a leading provider of MRO services for advanced avionic component repairs, is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for establishing relationships with external vendors, managing inventory, and executing the Company's sourcing and procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Locate and negotiate with vendors to secure materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess material availability and develop strategies to improve lead times.
• Support initiatives to reduce supplier costs, improve payment terms, and enhance quality and delivery.
• Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in the development of specifications for equipment and products.
• Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims.
• Maintain the Qualified Supplier database and survey suppliers as required.
• Manage material inventory levels to support production needs and financial targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a Purchasing Certification from a recognized professional organization.
• 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role purchasing electronic components.
• Prior experience in an aerospace or automotive manufacturing company.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office software suite.
• Sustained dependable attendance and cooperation with others in a team environment.

Work Environment

• Position located in an office environment with occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor.
• Occasional need to walk up and down stairs and occasional business-related travel.
• Regularly required to sit for long periods, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
