Staff Development Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Functions with autonomy, diplomacy, and professionalism when training.
- Obtains and maintains certifications when required.
- Attend training programs when assigned.
- Conducts New Employee Development (NED), specialized training such as Safe Crisis Management (SCM) and other ongoing trainings as required.
- Assists with scheduling and notifying employees of training programs.
- Develop new training programs as necessary, either by working with others to create/upload trainings to Relias or coordinating internal or external speakers.
- Input and update information into the tracking system as required.
- Assists with maintaining and auditing employee training files.
- Travel to regional offices to conduct training or arranges with training staff as needed.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- Experience serving in a training capacity.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the Relias training system.
Physical Demands:The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must normally exert up to 50 pounds of force and occasionally assist in lifting and/or moving up to 150 pounds.
