Special Kids has operated in Murfreesboro, TN since 1998, as a not-for-profit Christian healthcare company. The organization is now focused on serving children with special healthcare needs in the greater Chattanooga community. Our goal is to support each child in overcoming obstacles to achieve improved quality of life. We aim to accomplish this goal by providing access to quality, compassionate care for any child in need of occupational, physical, speech, and feeding therapy and providing continuity of care through a unique coordinated multi-disciplinary approach. We seek a dynamic Clinic Manager to lead our team and ensure the successful operation of our clinic.

Position Summary: The Clinic Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate all activities within the pediatric therapy clinic. This role requires developing and implementing the clinic budget, ensuring compliance with healthcare laws and regulations, and fostering a culture that aligns with our mission. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality care, and a strategic mindset for growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Understands the business needs of patient care programs and implements effective strategies.
  • Develops and manages operational budgets to ensure efficient fiscal operations.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Development to enhance donor growth and stewardship.
  • Revises and implements patient care policies, procedures, and methods that reflect our commitment to service excellence.
  • Identifies and solve problems while implementing strategies for future financial sustainability and clinic growth, aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
  • Assesses qualifications of potential workforce members through effective talent management, recruitment, and acquisition.
  • Provides team members with opportunities for continuous growth, development, and training.
  • Evaluates and develops relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) as part of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains awareness of compliance and enforce OSHA, HIPAA Privacy, and Security Rules.
  • Collaborates with the Murfreesboro Clinical Director to promote best practices and improve office flow.
  • Attends meetings and conferences to promote professional growth and stay informed about industry trends.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversee six or more direct reports, providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of the patient care program.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Use KPI metrics and data to inform sound business decisions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, preferably in a pediatric therapy setting.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans effectively.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Master’s degree in business administration or healthcare administration or equivalent is preferrable. 
  • Years of experience may be considered in lieu of master’s degree. 
  • Five years of relevant work experience required. 

Computer Skills:
To be successful in this job, an individual should have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and web-based applications such as electronic medical records.
