As the VP of Product Management, you will drive product vision and strategy through the effective leadership of the Real-World Data product management team while providing business leadership to the organization. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in engineering, operations, sales, marketing, and finance to optimize product development processes.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management
  • 6+ years leading a team
  • 5+ years in Life Sciences.
  • A track record of managing a >$50m product portfolio and driving usage and revenue growth

  • Expertise in Real-World Data
  • MBA, PhD, or a Master's degree in a related field- sciences, healthcare, technology
  • Experience working with an international team and global customer base
  • Strong understanding of real-world data, healthcare data, and life science industry trends.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities. Experience leading and developing a team of product directors and managers
  • Strong understanding of the Life Science and technology fields
  • Strong track record of successfully developing and launching new technology products in Life Sciences, ideally in the Real-World Data domain.
  • Proven track record scaling a product team including establishing proper operational structure, processes, and tools
  • Experience with product strategy, commercialization/product marketing, business development, and product management
  • Experience guiding teams and colleagues through fast-paced and difficult periods of transformation (either fast growth or transformation experience)
  • Ability to manage highly complex customer questions and concerns for all products in the portfolio
  • Broad and extensive working knowledge of life sciences
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and personable demeanor

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Product Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product strategy for our Real-World Data division.
  • Roadmap Development: Create, own and maintain product roadmaps that outlines the short-term and long-term goals for the RWD product portfolio.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop continue to build out a high-performing product management team, providing mentorship and guidance to foster their professional growth. Structure your team, identify resource needs, and recruit top talent accordingly.
  • Agile product development: Develop a world class agile and data driven product development process in partnership with Engineering, Data Science, etc. Advocate agile principles throughout the organization, and help the team adopt those principles.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and customer needs within the real-world data space.
  • Customer Insights: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to gather customer feedback and insights, ensuring that our products meet market demands.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, marketing, sales, legal, HR and finance, to ensure the successful launch and ongoing management of RWD products.
  • Voice of Customer: Champion customer needs both within and outside the organization. Give your team the tools they need to listen to their users.
  • Parallel development: Balance the need to continuously improve the live platform while working in parallel toward developing a new breed of next generation products and services.
  • Go-to-market: Coordinate go-to-market activities in collaboration with Marketing and Sales. Ensure new value propositions are well defined and in support of commercial strategy.
  • Leadership: Model gravitas and demonstrate thought leadership, representing Clarivate at high-level industry events, and in critical meetings with key customers, communicating Clarivate's position and strategy.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of RWD products, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure that RWD products adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance standards in the healthcare industry.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
