Job Title: Cloud Architect – On-Prem to Oracle OCI Migration

Contract Duration: 24 months



About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead a large-scale on-premises to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in OCI services, infrastructure design, and migration methodologies, with a specific focus on GoldenGate, WebLogic, and other Oracle Cloud Infrastructure products. This role does not involve Oracle EBS or SaaS but emphasizes comprehensive infrastructure and platform migration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute end-to-end migration strategies for transitioning on-premises or hyperscaler environments to Oracle OCI.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using OCI infrastructure services.
  • Implement and optimize Oracle GoldenGate for data replication, real-time streaming, and synchronization during migration.
  • Deploy and configure Oracle WebLogic in OCI to support enterprise applications.
  • Evaluate existing environments, identify dependencies, and develop migration roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Database Administrators, and Security, to ensure seamless migration.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot migration processes, ensuring adherence to project timelines.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in on-premises or hyperscaler-to-Oracle OCI migrations at Enterprise Level.
  • Expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Identity Management.
  • 14 years experience with multiple on-prem or hyperscaler to the cloud migration experience
  • In-depth knowledge of GoldenGate and WebLogic for deployment and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure design, implementation, and automation.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or OCI CLI).
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.


Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI Architect Associate/Professional).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning in OCI.
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and their migration to OCI.
