Our client is a series A funded startup dedicated to revolutionizing the automotive manufacturing industry through robotic solutions. They are backed by leading investors from the automotive industry and their engineering team includes top talent from the Boston robotics community, including several individuals who have previously built and scaled successful robotics startups.

They are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their leadership team. As the CTO, you will shape the technical direction of the company, lead the development of their cutting-edge solutions, and drive innovation to bring their groundbreaking technology to the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute the technical strategy for the company that aligns with their mission and business goals
  2. Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to define system requirements and specifications
  4. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of their robotic solutions
  5. Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and related technologies
  6. Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  7. Represent the company in technical discussions with investors, partners, and customers
  8. Drive continuous improvement in the development processes, tools, and methodologies
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  2. Extensive technical expertise with direct experience in multiple domains such as mechatronics, robotics, hardware, software, data, product, and AI
  3. Multiple recent examples of hands-on solving complex technical problems
  4. Key contributor to the success of a winning organization that consistently achieved their goals and objectives
  5. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
  6. Previous success in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
  7. Based in the greater Boston area (or willing to relocate)
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field
  2. Experience in the automotive industry or with automotive service technologies
  3. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in robotics and automation
  4. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or ROS
  5. Deep understanding of control systems, kinematics, and vehicle dynamics
  6. Experience with sensor integration, data acquisition, and machine learning applications in robotics
