The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale programs in the banking or financial services sector, with expertise in technical architecture, regulatory requirements, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Delivery & Execution:

  • Lead and manage large, cross-functional technical programs in the banking domain, including core banking systems, digital banking platforms, mobile banking apps, and fintech integrations.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor program progress, manage risks, and take corrective actions to ensure programs are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Ensure that the solution delivery aligns with architectural guidelines, technical constraints, and regulatory compliance.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate closely with business units, product owners, senior leadership, and IT teams to define project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating progress clearly and consistently.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration and delivery of banking technology solutions.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Proactively identify program risks and dependencies, including regulatory and compliance challenges, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant industry regulations, standards (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, Dodd-Frank), and internal banking policies.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of program outcomes to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high-performance culture.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through the complexities of integrating new banking technologies with existing systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating processes and identifying opportunities for optimization and automation.

Technical Oversight:

  • Provide oversight on system architecture, integration approaches, and technical solution designs for banking applications and platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that technical solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the bank’s long-term goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging banking technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes, ensuring that programs align with best practices and innovation.

Quality Assurance & Delivery:

  • Oversee the development and execution of testing strategies to ensure high-quality, reliable solutions.
  • Review and approve all program deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements, regulatory standards, and technical specifications.
  • Manage post-implementation support, monitoring system performance and user feedback to ensure ongoing operational excellence.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in program management or technical leadership roles, with a focus on banking technology, digital banking, or financial services is a must.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex programs in the banking domain, including core banking systems, mobile banking, and fintech solutions.
  • Experience with banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, Finastra, FIS), digital banking transformation, and APIs is highly desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, customer channels, and regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, GDPR, PSD2).
  • Expertise in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies, with experience in tools like Jira, Confluence, and MS Project.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving results and overcoming obstacles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent project management certification.
  • ITIL Foundation or other relevant certifications in IT service management.

Why Join Us?:

  • Lead transformative technology initiatives that drive innovation and impact within the banking sector.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking organization committed to embracing new technologies and enhancing customer experiences.
  • Work alongside a talented and collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
