Job Title: Float MRI Technologist

As a Float MRI Technologist, you will operate an MRI scanner to produce high-quality images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes at multiple centers within the market. You will provide leadership and technical support to MRI services, ensuring that services are delivered with excellence and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Imaging (75%):
    • Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision.
    • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications.
    • Prepare patients for MR procedures, explaining the process and providing support throughout the exam.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed.
    • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
    • Communicate effectively with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
    • Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
    • Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Imaging Support (20%):
    • Maintain equipment in good working order and clean/disinfect after each use.
    • Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
    • Monitor medical supply inventory.
    • Assist with training new associates and provide technical expertise.
  • Other Duties (5%):
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
