Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensures the delivery of safe, high quality, patient centric care while continually evaluating care deliver against ChristianaCare’s strategic aims.
  • Review and evaluate patient experience, report on existing state and build/implement/run a robust sustainable plan to improve outcomes.
  • Build and maintain through collaborative interdisciplinary relationships, drive efficiencies for optimum delivery of care to the community.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, direction, motivation and career development of the nursing leadership team to ensure their professional/career growth.
  • Actively participate in the development and modification of campus and system-wide patient care programs and procedures that describe how the nursing care needs of the patient populations are assessed, evaluated and met.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required.
  • Master's degree required, MSN preferred.
  • Experience working and leading in a busy Women's and Children service line.
  • Professional nursing certification preferred, certification in advanced executive nursing leadership required.
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive management experience required.
  • Experience delivering results with a variety of stakeholders driving outcomes through influence and collaboration.
  • Eligible for a State of Delaware RN License.
