The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Tax Attorney to join our Estate and Tax Planning department and support our Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact and potentially participate in our senior attorney's succession plan.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert tax planning and legal advice for complex estate planning matters
  • Support M&A transactions with tax structuring and advisory services
  • Manage client relationships and complex transactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Stay current with tax regulations and laws to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients


Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar admission
  • 5+ years of experience in tax law, with a focus on estate and tax planning and M&A transactions
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and complex transactions
  • Experience in tax advisory services and legal expertise in taxation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary law firm
  • Professional certification in tax law or related field (e.g., LL.M. in Taxation)
