Executive Director, Wealth Planning Specialist

As a key member of the First Western team, the Executive Director, Wealth Planning will play a vital role in helping high-net-worth clients achieve their financial goals. This includes:
- Proactively working with the sales and service teams to achieve revenue, profitability, client satisfaction, client servicing, and advisory product penetration targets.
- Designing and delivering wealth planning products, overseeing daily operations related to development, delivery, and implementation of wealth plans, and managing processes and systems relative to the WP products.
- Leading and developing a team of professionals, guiding them on business growth, implementing strategies to maximize effectiveness, and helping develop and evolve product and service offerings.
- Consulting on and completing high-profile and complex planning engagements, including expertise with CHB succession.
- Providing ongoing training, mentoring, coaching, and growth of the PTIM sales and service teams as well as the Insurance team in application of complex planning concepts to WP output.
- Overseeing daily operations of the WP process, including review of wealth plans and other deliverables, reporting of outcomes, adherence to service levels, annual reviews, and enhancement to processes.
- Helping drive resolution of issues and solving complex client problems.
- Working together with sales and marketing leaders to function as executive oversight for sales efforts across both prospects and existing customers to maximize cross-selling and ensure relationship managers are applying best practices when engaging in business development and prospect conversion.
- Developing strategies to enhance client engagement as well as new prospecting channels, supporting business development activities by partnering with relationship managers during prospect and client meetings as needed.
- Assisting teams in developing the Bank's network of external partners (lawyer, accountant, tax advisor, etc.) to better serve the clients and increase referrals from external parties to the Bank.
- Optimizing talent management to keep the skills of PTIM talent up to date and PTIM resources resilient in the face of changing markets, business needs, associate absences, and associate succession, reviewing and assessing key PTIM associates for performance, compensation, and promotion purposes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with experience with FIS/Verafin preferred.
- Effective interpersonal communications, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex legal and regulatory documents.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Outstanding leadership and team mentoring abilities.
- Comfortable and professional in dealing with senior management and the Board of Directors.
Required:
- Master's Degree.
- Relevant JD, LLM degrees, and/or CPA, CFP certificate.
- 10-15 years of wealth management industry experience.
Preferred:
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience.
