POSITION SUMMARY
The SCA DX-US team is leading digital transformation activities across US operating companies. We are seeking an individual with strong general management skills to oversee multiple DX business-related divisions, including Business Innovation, PdM, and PMO. Your responsibilities will include supervising DX activities, promoting DX solutions to Sony group stakeholders, and managing DX technology development projects.
Our DX team builds the global data exchange platform across Sony Group Companies, which seamlessly integrates our first-party data from different sources to leverage the power of advanced data analytics for strategic decision-making, machine learning scenarios like forecasting and classification at scale, and many types of data for utilization.
Moreover, the platform you will help develop will be a catalyst for new, innovative businesses and will accelerate the digital transformation of each respective Sony Group Company. Your role will be integral to shaping the future of our company.
In this role, you will be the driving force behind the evolution of our platform. You will be instrumental in imagining, defining, and delivering the features, services, or tools that will significantly enhance our platform and experiences for Sony Group Companies users, such as data analysts, data scientists, and other data users. Your influence will be substantial.
Through each team leader, you will provide direction to business innovation, PdM, and Global Business PMO teams to develop a deep understanding of the customer's business and technical objectives so they can effectively contribute to customer success. You will also provide direction and orchestration in creating programs that can scale our efforts, impacting customer adoption of new product capabilities based on your deep customer understanding.
You will work closely with various members of Sony Group Companies to deeply understand their needs and use insights to prioritize and design features for the broader data exchange platform.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position involves multiple stakeholders, such as the Business Innovation, PdM, PMO, Product Development, and DevOps teams and Sony's operating companies worldwide, in creating Sony DX-related products. Below are the main areas to take the lead within DX activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Global Business Strategy Development: Developing and implementing a global strategy for digital transformation initiatives across multiple regions and markets. This involves understanding the unique needs and challenges of different markets, identifying global trends and opportunities, and aligning the DX strategy with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborating with various departments and teams across different regions to ensure alignment and coordination of DX business efforts. This includes working closely with regional DX teams, PdM, PMO teams, and other stakeholders to drive consistent and effective global implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
- Global Leadership and Team Management: Providing leadership and guidance to regional DX teams and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across different locations. This involves hiring and managing a diverse team of professionals, setting performance goals, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Global Business Development and Partnerships: Identifying and pursuing global business opportunities related to digital transformation activities. This may involve establishing partnerships with Sony operating companies and international technology vendors, exploring new markets, and leveraging global networks and resources to drive DX initiatives.
- Global Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Establishing global metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of digital transformation initiatives across different regions. This position will monitor progress, analyze data, and report to senior management regularly, highlighting global trends and insights.
- Change Management and Cultural Transformation: Leading change management efforts on a global scale to ensure successful adoption and acceptance of digital transformation initiatives. This involves addressing cultural and organizational barriers, providing training and support to employees across different regions, and fostering a global culture of innovation and digital fluency.
- Conducts regular status meetings with team & partners, continuously keeping customers' needs and requirements in view.
- Proactively communicates overall program status, issues, and risks to executive leadership.
- Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
- 15+ years of Direct-to-Consumer business
- Experience in driving global initiatives and managing cross-functional teams
- Experience in business development, partnership management, and global market expansion
- Proven track record of leading successful product launches and strategic initiatives
- Extensive experience in digital transformation, technology strategy, or related fields is essential. This may include experience leading DX initiatives, managing digital projects, or working in senior leadership roles within the technology or digital space
- Deep experience in the customer value chain and business cycle
- Superb collaborator and communicator, comfortable, confident, and experienced in guiding abstract into actions
- Strong sense of ownership in project management and a bias for structure and action.
- Excellent facilitation of a discussion with multiple stakeholders across the world
- Application knowledge, Cloud technology knowledge
- Network within the Sony group is a plus, as the role requires community building among operating companies.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $290,000 to $330,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.
