With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, they work closely with clients to develop and manufacture a wide range of products, including skincare, haircare, and cosmetics. Position Overview:Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven VP of Sales to lead the expansion of their client base within the beauty and wellness sector. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team of Customer Service agents while personally driving new business. They will have a proven track record and a focus on driving growth and net new revenue within the contract manufacturing space. This role requires a strategic thinker and a "go-getter" who can effectively collaborate across departments, develop targeted campaigns, and cultivate strong relationships with potential clients to position the company's services as the premier choice in the market.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to acquire new contract manufacturing clients within the beauty and wellness industry, aligning with company objectives and growth targets.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of sales and marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture focused on driving business success.
- Identify and prioritize target markets, segments, and key accounts within the beauty and wellness sector, leveraging market research and customer insights to inform sales and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with the product development and operations teams to ensure alignment between client needs and our capabilities, offering innovative solutions and value-added services.
- Drive lead generation efforts through various channels, including digital marketing, trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities, to generate qualified leads and opportunities for the sales team.
- Develop compelling sales presentations, proposals, and promotional materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of our contract manufacturing services to potential clients.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at prospective client organizations, serving as a trusted advisor and partner throughout the sales process.
- Track, analyze, and report on sales and marketing performance metrics, KPIs, and ROI, using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the beauty and wellness contract manufacturing space, providing recommendations for strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales and marketing roles selling (services or products) to the beauty and wellness industry. Must bring an existing network of beauty and wellness clients.
- Demonstrated and proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales and marketing teams, leading from the front as an individual contributor, achieving revenue targets, and driving business growth in competitive markets.
- Strong understanding of the beauty and wellness industry landscape, including market trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and build rapport with diverse audiences.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making, able to analyze market data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software, marketing automation platforms, and other sales and marketing tools preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
