Job Summary:

Are you a seasoned leader with extensive experience in the commercial HVAC/R, plumbing, and mechanical industries? CT Mechanical is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the success and execution of various mechanical projects across our branch offices. In this role, you will manage project profitability, forecast labor needs, and drive operational efficiency in all departments. From implementation to completion, you will ensure the smooth operation of our projects, leading with integrity, strong communication, and a passion for client satisfaction. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assuring the branch meets financial goals and maximizes net profit.
  • Forecast and manage labor hours and labor needs, providing a 3-month look ahead.
  • Develop and manage vendors and subcontractor resources to optimize project outcomes.
  • Focus on client satisfaction by maintaining open communication and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with department heads in Asset Management, HR, IT, Estimating, and Finance to streamline project operations.
  • Oversee warehouse inventory, deliveries, receiving, and consumable material needs.
  • Maintain purchasing procedures and manage fabrication needs efficiently.
  • Drive business development opportunities for the branch through effective networking.
  • Manage warranty needs and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop field staff, project managers (PMs), project coordinators (PCs), and fabrication/warehouse personnel.
  • Participate in leadership team meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Provide operational solutions for all projects to ensure smooth and efficient branch operations.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage project schedules to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Report weekly branch performance metrics to the leadership team, ensuring transparency and accountability.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC/R, Plumbing, or Mechanical Industry
  • At least 5 years of management experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information.
