Structural Concrete Estimator

Seeking a highly skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team. The Concrete estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cos of materials, labor, and equipment needed for concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete construction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine project requirements and prepare accurate estimates
  • Analyze blueprints, take-off quantities, and develop detailed cost estimates for all aspects of concrete work, including foundations, slabs, walls, and flatwork
  • Brownco not only specializes in cas-in-place concrete but also manages the demolition and excavation required for our projects. Proficiency in material removal, handling, and trucking is essential.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities to improve project profitability.
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements and resolve issues
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information necessary for preparing accurate estimates
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure that all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology, and construction methods related to concrete work


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or field experience is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in concrete construction estimating
  • Proficiency with construction estimating software such as OST, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel or similar
  • Excellent communication, organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards, codes, and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
