Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine project documentation, including plans and specifications, to ascertain project needs and formulate precise cost estimates.
  • Evaluate blueprints, quantify materials, and create comprehensive cost assessments for various concrete tasks, such as foundations, slabs, walls, and flatwork.
  • Our company not only excels in cast-in-place concrete but also oversees the demolition and excavation associated with our projects. Expertise in material removal, handling, and transportation is crucial.
  • Recognize potential risks and opportunities to enhance project profitability.
  • Engage with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project specifications and address any concerns.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site inspections to collect information vital for accurate estimating.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all project elements are included in the estimate.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements, technologies, and construction methodologies relevant to concrete work.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or relevant field experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating for concrete construction.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software such as OST, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
