Role Overview:

Zapp is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand our presence within strategic geographic areas across the United States. This role is ideal for a fully bilingual professional with deep ties to Mexican communities, blending expertise in sales, marketing, and operations. The Regional Sales Manager will build and manage field teams, developing and executing targeted strategies to drive direct-to-consumer and direct-to-business initiatives, community programs, and localized events. This individual should excel at crafting localized growth plans, managing account executives and sales reps, and directly engaging with communities to activate Zapp’s services. The role requires up to 50% travel and offers a base salary plus commission-based compensation (with a heavy emphasis on commissions, tied to KPIs), rewarding impactful growth and community engagement. We are open to Part-Time as well.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and Manage a Local Sales Team: Establish and lead a high-performing sales team in the NJ/NY area, focused on expanding Zapp's presence and driving engagement within local communities.
  • Recruit, Train, and Develop Sales Talent: Hire, train, and mentor sales representatives, managing their performance to ensure they meet and exceed targets.
  • Develop and Execute Revenue-Driving Plans: Create and implement strategies to boost usage and increase revenue, with a focus on maximizing customer acquisition and retention.
  • Provide Strategic Direction and Prioritization: Set priorities, develop actionable plans, and guide the team to align with Zapp’s business goals and achieve key performance objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance and Standards: Communicate and uphold compliance regulations, codes, standards, and requirements to ensure all operations adhere to Zapp’s standards.
  • Oversee Budget Management: Manage the budget for regional initiatives, ensuring efficient use of resources to meet financial goals and maximize ROI.
  • Build and Manage Partnerships with Small Businesses: Develop and maintain partnerships with local small businesses, leveraging these relationships to enhance community presence and drive mutual growth.
  • Regular Travel within Region: This position requires regular travel within the NJ/NY area to engage with the team, partners, and communities directly.


Role Requirements


  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and effectively work across all functions.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ previous experience in sales or other relevant fields is required.
  • Previous experience in a sales management role preferred.
  • Perform management and sales within the field to meet and exceed transaction and revenue growth objectives in your assigned area.
  • Experiences in the supermarket, mass merchandising, or the check cashing industry preferred.
  • Bilingual/bi-cultural experience is highly desired.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required as this position requires regular travel within a defined region.
  • Prior money transfer or financial services experience is preferred.
