Key Responsibilities

Contract Review and Assessment:

  • Review third-party contracts to assess content, purpose, and alignment with company policies and requirements.
  • Benchmark legacy agreements from the acquired subsidiary against standard contracting templates, providing guidance and gap analysis by contract category.

Transition Support:

  • Support integration-related activities, coordinating with procurement colleagues and other functions to facilitate a smooth transition.
  • Track multiple contract-related activities tied to the integration process, ensuring alignment with company objectives and policies.

Supplier Management and Due Diligence:

  • Perform due diligence for evaluating and approving new suppliers, in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Partner with Procurement colleagues to ensure supplier risk management and compliance protocols are followed.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Procurement teams, to ensure smooth contracting processes and clear communication.
  • Provide written guidance and advice on contract categories and scopes to business teams, supporting business objectives with sound, ethical judgment.


Key Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
  • 3-5 years of commercial contracting experience, with a strong preference for pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, accounts payable, supply chain, finance, or related fields.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP, contract management databases, and vendor management programs.
  • Ability to navigate and operate multiple complex computer programs to complete contract processes within departmental timelines and auditable standards.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working both independently and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support effective decision-making.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in procurement, specifically indirect or commercial procurement.
  • Familiarity with assessing scope of services and contract scopes, with the ability to categorize and guide based on business needs.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating complex concepts to broader audiences.
