SUMMARY

This Program Director is a full time salaried indirect supervision and direct service position. This staff member provides supervision to a team of case management staff as well as clinical services in a residential program focused on facilitating the successful transition of program participants from prison into society. Program services are holistically designed to address the physical, emotional, social, occupational and mental health needs of the target service population in compliance with the RRC/FBOP standards and requirements.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Program Director (Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) has been granted the license that is in “good standing” from the Florida Department of Health in the year 2010 or prior.) This member has a minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in a social work setting and has worked with clients presenting social service needs similar or the same as those of the client population served by this program. Program Director must be bilingual (English and Spanish) to meet the needs of the target population and able to work on a flex-time schedule to properly monitor services in a residential setting. This individual also has strong communication skills (oral and written) and works well using a team approach.

Requirement: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides indirect supervision of case management staff on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Audits case management files to ensure that all of the documentation and services are in alignment with a “best practices model”, completed in the required time frame and in compliance with the RRC/FBOP programmatic requirements. This includes: client orientation, individual assessments, bio-psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries
  • Supervises case managers with the family reunification process
  • Coordinates peer consultations and review
  • Is capable of administering “In-Service” training to case management staff
  • Implements the “Cognitive Behavioral Programming Model” in compliance with RRC/FBOP standards
  • Facilitates weekly substance abuse prevention support group and transitional skills classes
  • Oversees Training for case managers and staff and requirements of the FBOP
  • Provides individual counseling to residents who are not eligible for these services off site or through other resources
  • Assists in the implementation of new programs for the residents
  • Crisis intervention as needed
  • Performs additional duties when assigned by the CEO and/or COO

Schedule: Monday-Friday (4 Day Morning Shift and 1 Day Evening Shift)

Education and /or Experience

B.A Degree in Human Services preferred or a minimum of one year experience working in a social service field.

Responsibilities:

Applicant will work with federal inmates in our program. The Employment Specialist is responsible for providing employment assessment, job counseling, job development and placement, coordination of employment-related translation and interpretation services, and case management to eligible clients in a timely, appropriate and effective manner ensuring the client’s early employment and self-sufficiency. Develop and maintain a job bank to assist clients in obtaining a meaningful work experience. Conducts work site visits (per week) in organized manner, with timely documentation.

We are a co-ed, residential reentry center that helps ex-offenders successfully reenter society. Riverside House exists to guide men and women convicted of crime into becoming productive citizens through a nondenominational, faith-based approach.

Summary: Monitors the custody, security, control, and maintenance of the facility and residents.

Schedule:

Our facility operates 24/7, offering rotating shifts:

  • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors Residents – Observes, documents, and ensures the accountability of all residents while within the facility and in the community by enforcing all rules, responsibilities, and restrictions assigned to residents. Provides control and documentation of transactions regarding medications, first-aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
  • Assists with managing program services—Assists and supports the Case Manager with resident programming that may include, but is not limited to, installing electronic monitoring equipment and providing alcohol and urine surveillance testing.
  • Monitors Facility – Conducts and documents scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain the health, safety and accountability of the residents.
  • Maintains Working Knowledge and follows all Procedures and Policies – Outlined in the Statement of Work and Operations Manuals. Proficiency in knowledge and operations of emergency drills, life safety, facility sanitation, escapes and unusual occurrence procedures.
  • Work Schedule – In the event of a work stoppage, works the hours necessary to staff the center. Will accept reassigned shifts without advanced notice. Attend and participate in all required appointments/meetings. Some meetings/appointments may be scheduled off site.
  • Sanitation – Responsible for general housekeeping of your work place to include: dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and emptying of trash.
  • Other – Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Experience – Possess a High School diploma or equivalent and demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergency situations. Must have one year of paid work experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday (3 days work from 8:00am to 4:30pm, 2 days work from 12:30pm to 9:00pm.)

Education and / or Experience:
Minimum a Baccalaureate Degree in behavioral, Social Science, Social Worker, Light Counselor and psychology have demonstrated a professional ability to evaluate behavior through written communication. Experience may be substituted for the degree on a year to year basis. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities:
Applicants will work directly with federal inmates within our program. Applicants will follow all agency procedures and policies. Applicant’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to provide intake and orientation to all clients as assigned. Quality individual and /or group counseling provided to meet client needs, (individual treatment plan; responsive to client requests etc.) coordinate and document comprehensive case management for each client assigned, according to specific individual needs, utilizing necessary community resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resident Support:
    • Provide for the needs of residents while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and agency policies.
    • Greet all residents and prospective residents warmly.
    • Offer communication, information, and necessary supplies to residents.
  • Facility Management:
    • Manage bed assignments, locker assignments, and other resident-related responsibilities.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the office, clothing room, and resident areas.
  • Security and Accountability:
    • Conduct security checks within the facility and related resident areas.
    • Assign and supervise resident service work, encouraging active participation in agency services.
    • Hold shelter residents accountable for upholding rules and expectations, and communicating concerns to the Shelter Manager.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Take resident attendance, maintain bed count, and ensure bed capacity.
    • Log and document shift and resident information by the end of each shift.
    • Perform necessary program operations, including serving meals, taking inventory, performing resident intakes, sorting donations, and issuing medicine.
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records by providing information to the Case Manager and staying in communication with Case Managers and the Program Director.
  • Collaboration and Meetings:
    • Coordinate with other sites and programs within the agency as needed.
    • Participate in monthly staff meetings.
  • Schedule Flexibility:
    • Provide shift coverage as scheduled.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
