The department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Program Director, Social Services to work at UHealth. The Program Director, Social Services (H) develops and implements relevant social services programs, including the formulation of program guidelines and components, and the recruitment and supervision of all program staff. Additionally, the incumbent monitors day-to-day operations to assure compliance with applicable rules, guidelines, and procedures. An employee in this position also advances budgets, monitors expenditures, and prepares quarterly reports.

  • Oversee the operations of the Family Navigator Program.
  • Supervise staff's productivity and quality of work.
  • Attend relevant community meetings.
  • Organize trainings for community partners.
  • Maintain communications with funding agency.
  • Write mid-year and annual reports for funding agency.
  • Maintain program's data log up to date.
  • Stay relevant with community resources.
  • Weekly meetings with Faculty Lead.
  • Search for opportunities to share the program's accomplishments and lessons learned at local and national conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with navigation/care coordination/case management services

  • Knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.

Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
