- The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting including financial reporting, general ledger, subledgers, AR/billing/collections, AP, payroll, fixed assets, taxes.
- Manage, lead, motivate, evaluate, and develop the accounting staff.
- Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls in their area and to design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
- Execution of judgment to keep projects moving and ensure the right decisions are reached to close the books by deadline each month in accordance with monthly close calendar.
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the general ledger, billing, and accounts payable systems used for completion of queries and other ad hoc reporting for both accounting and other internal/external departments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of automation of manual processes or new procedures and features to improve department efficiency and workflow.
Requirements for the Accounting Manager:
- Public accounting audit experience
- Management experience
- CPA or currently sitting for CPA
- Dynamics / Great Plains
- Ability to work in Brentwood.
