Software Director – Laboratory Instrumentation

Wilmington, DE


Excellent senior leadership opportunity for a Software Engineering Director. You will be tasked with spearheading the transition from Desktop to Cloud/Web based applications for a range of complex scientific instrumentation.



Primary Responsibilities

  • Resource allocation and strategy for a team of 10-15 software engineers working in .NET
  • Develop mid/long term strategies for all software products within the division and conducting risk assessment on said strategies
  • Oversight of technical work for the team, ensuring projects are completed for both R&D and in market software products



Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of a BS degree in Software/Computer Science
  • Experience transitioning software from desktop to web/cloud-based applications in .NET
  • Previous direct management experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of the scientific instrumentation sector a plus



Salary:

  • $150-200K annual base salary
  • Health/Dental/Vision Insurance + PTO
  • Hybrid schedule
