We have a Software Integration Co-op position available in our Wilmington, MA office. This position will participate in and work on controls engineering projects involving PLC/SCADA/HMI programming, electrical and instrumentation, check-out support, and start-up assistance.

Major Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement control systems (logic software and hardware) to meet process, machine, and integrated system requirements
  • Desired skills/experience: proficiency in Python, familiarity with building web applications and APIs, experience with relational database management, familiarity with Git, and understanding of machine learning concepts
  • Develop control logic software and user interface applications
  • Assist with initial start-up and debug integrated systems and the development of system documentation
  • Adheres to scope, quality, schedule, and budget requirements of assigned tasks
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic and diverse team of software and controls integration engineers
  • Interface with clients to discuss project priorities and deliverables

Minimum Requirements

Education Undergraduate studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering is preferred.

  • Preference is given to candidates with an understanding of or exposure to control systems - components, ladder logic programming, SCADA programming, and their applications. Not Required.
  • Preference is given to candidates with an understanding of or exposure to instrumentation and controls design as well as PLC and/or SCADA. Not required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is also desired, but not required.

Physical Demands of Position

Writing, computer work, variable travel amounts, fieldwork in industrial settings, seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, climbing, and ability to mount and dismount equipment, pushing, and pulling.

Working Environment Standard office environment, On-site office environment, and diverse industrial environments. Frequent PC usage, fax machines, copy machines, phones.
