About Us:

Svantek North America (Svantek NA) is a fully owned subsidiary of Svantek HQ, based in Poland. Svantek is a global leader in sound and vibration measurement instruments, offering advanced solutions for noise and vibration monitoring. Svantek HQ already has an established network of distributors across the USA, and Svantek NA will further develop this network. The Managing Director will be responsible for maintaining and supporting existing distributors while identifying and adding new partners to expand market coverage. Svantek NA will also establish a state-of-the-art service center and calibration laboratory to support its sophisticated line of sound and vibration instruments.

 

Position Overview:

  • The Managing Director for Svantek North America will be responsible for leading the company’s growth strategy in the U.S. market. This role requires a candidate with significant experience in the sound and vibration instrumentation industry, a proven ability to manage and expand a distribution network, and operational expertise in overseeing service and calibration facilities.
  • The ideal candidate will also have the technical and commercial acumen to manage a sales team, grow revenue, and drive market penetration for Svantek's advanced products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:

 - Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy to establish and expand Svantek's presence in the U.S. market.

 - Maintain and support Svantek’s existing U.S. distributor network, ensuring ongoing relationships and performance optimization.

 - Identify and onboard new distributors to expand market coverage and enhance the distribution network.

 - Oversee the setup and ongoing operations of a service center and calibration lab to support Svantek’s sound and vibration instruments.


  • Sales and Business Development:

 - Build and manage a sales team, ensuring that the team is well-trained and motivated to meet and exceed revenue targets.

 - Develop relationships with key clients in industries such as environmental monitoring, manufacturing, construction, and research institutions.

 - Collaborate with distributors and direct sales channels to optimize market coverage and grow revenue.


  • Operations Management:

 - Manage the day-to-day operations of the service center and calibration laboratory to ensure that it meets international standards and client requirements.

 - Ensure that Svantek NA provides top-notch customer service, technical support, and after-sales services.


  • Financial Management:

 - Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure the profitability and financial health of Svantek NA.

 - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against business goals.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

 - Act as the primary liaison between Svantek NA and Svantek HQ in Poland, ensuring alignment with global corporate strategy and maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders.

 - Represent Svantek NA at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.


Qualifications:

  • Education:

 - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in acoustics, mechanical, electrical, or a related discipline); a Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.


  • Experience:

 - Minimum 10 years of experience in the sound and vibration instrumentation sector or a related industry.

 - Proven experience in managing sales teams and developing distribution networks within the U.S. market.

 - Experience in setting up and managing service centers and calibration laboratories.

 - Strong operational background with experience managing P&L and meeting financial targets.
