WORK LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska

SCHEDULE: This is a regular exempt level position that works an urban 40-hour week or compressed work week 9/80 schedule. Relocation benefits may apply.

BAND: Z1 - Z3

Under general direction of the President, the CFO is accountable to lead and oversee the CFO organization, which includes direct reporting relationships with Internal Audit, Controller, Procurement, Strategic Planning, and IT/Cyber Security. This position has direct links to our Fairbanks and Valdez operations. The CFO serves as an active steward of Alyeska’s spend and financial efficiencies and effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership: Lead the Organization from an executive role. Lead the CFO organization, managing teams in Internal Audit, Controller, Procurement, Strategic Planning, and IT/Cyber Security.
  • Corporate Responsibility: Oversee company-wide financial and accounting controls, long- and short-term strategic planning, benchmarking, and management reporting.
  • Innovation: Act as an organizational change agent through innovative thinking and action.
  • Motivation: Inspire and motivate a fast-paced, high-performing work environment and team.
  • Procurement Strategy: Oversee Alyeska’s procurement strategy and delivery.
  • Internal Audit: Ensure the internal audit team operates independently and effectively.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement corporate and functional strategies to renew management systems, processes, and staff skills.
  • Executive Leadership: Serve as a member of Alyeska’s Trust Committees overseeing savings and investment plans and pension plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Requires twelve (12) years of extensive and comprehensive technical knowledge of multiple disciplines of business experience with a strong emphasis in financial management and controls, strategic planning, procurement, information technology, and general management.
  • Exceptional leadership with ability to communicate a compelling and inspired vision.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires an ability to effectively manage in an environment of change.
  • Proven track record in financial management.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

PREFERENCES:

  • Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Oil and gas industry knowledge helpful.
  • Previous CFO experience.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN TESTING:

Employment with Alyeska is contingent upon successfully passing a background investigation and, in some cases, a Physical Fitness Test and Medical Exam specific to the role for which you are applying. Alyeska also requires pre-employment urinalysis drug testing for all positions.

Federal Law requires all employers to verify identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States. Alyeska Pipeline Service Company participates in E-Verify.

TWIC:

The Alyeska Valdez Marine Terminal (VMT) is a regulated facility, and the employee hired to work on the VMT or to provide emergency support or other approved work for the VMT will be required to have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
