A national leader in K-12 construction, this company has operated for over 80 years in 9 different states in the US.
Their team has extensive experience building everything from University Medical Centers, High-end interior office finish out, Sports stadium expansions, making them specialized in Ground Up projects in the Texas markets especially and the top K-12 builder in the nation, they specialize in 13 markets sectors.
This General contractor has been raising the bar through an idea-driven culture that values ingenuity and collaboration, this company has no shortages of projects lined up for the next several years.

HQ'd out of Dallas, they have opened an office in ATX, due to growth and have a strong pipeline of work. With school ISD's and clients asking them to be their preferred builder. My client has a project in Lockhart that requires the right candidate be competent in leading K-12 renovations. Ground Up is desirable, but attitude and values are essential. The current PM has gone on long term sick leave and currently lives in Dallas, due to needing local talent this opportunity is immediate and they will be assigned more work in ATX for the years to come.

Job Description
- Looking for Project Manager with a degree
- Understanding of local market and experience preferred
- Used vision point, procore and Primavera (P6)
- Work with Project Manager to assist design efforts, solicit and qualify bids, develop contract documents, manage construction documents, financials
- 5-7+ years experience for proven assistant project managers who have lead work from dirt to completion
- 4-year degree in Construction science, business or finance degree desirable.
- Previous experience as Project Engineer with a construction contractor
Responsibilities
- Assist with cost estimates during design through active bid procurement
- Assist in developing contract documents and pre qualify subs and vendors
- Visit site periodically and assist coordination of on site activities with Superintendent
- Manage subcontractor contract compliance
- Develop detailed scopes of work by trade to include as exhibits in contract documents
- Prepare schedule exhibits by duration for all subcontractors
- Ensure all materials are procured well in advance of the time needed
- Review daily reports from superintendent
- Monitor all materials test reports for compliance with standards and specifications
- Obtain shop drawings from subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure timely review and approval by architects and engineers so that there are no delays to schedule
- Ensure that materials are being used where and how intended
- Monitor field generated requests prior to commencement of extra work
- Assist with preparation of final punch list for all subcontractors and ensure all items
- are completed prior to release of retainage payment
- Ensure as-built plan set is completed by superintendent
