JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES *
This position will be responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives for a $3.2 Billion business unit at 16 locations in North America. They will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and finance to accomplish this task. The focus of this position will be on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve safety and quality driving up efficiencies and reducing waste across the network. This individual will also be responsible for building a strategic team to support the Lean initiatives. This position will manage complex projects and require effective problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
JOB REQUIREMENTS *
This position requires a BS/MS degree in a technical or engineering discipline and 10+ years of manufacturing experience, half of which needs to be focused specifically on Lean Manufacturing. Specific manufacturing experience in the metal packaging industry is a definite plus. A Black Belt or Master Black Belt certificate in Six Sigma is high desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as well as the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels are a requirement. The position will require approximately 70% travel.
