We are representing a prominent international SaaS organization based in the Virginia Beach area, looking to add a VP of Finance to their growing leadership team. Ideal candidates will hold a CPA, CA, or CFA certification and bring 10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably with a background in publicly traded companies and public accounting.


Responsibilities:


Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with key business partners across the organization. Understand their needs and challenges, and work collaboratively to develop customized commercial finance solutions that drive growth and profitability.

Pricing analysis and optimisation: Analyze and optimize Dealer, Private, Media and SSI pricing models.

Commercial Opportunity Discovery: Proactively identify and assess new commercial finance opportunities within the market. Develop compelling business cases to secure leadership buy-in for new initiatives.

Dealer Package Optimization: Analyze and optimize our dealer incentive packages to maximize their effectiveness in driving sales and achieving growth objectives.

Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct thorough financial analyses to support commercial finance decisions. Prepare clear and concise reports to communicate financial performance and trends to stakeholders.

Financial Systems: Utilize software to minimize errors, reduce the amount of manual effort required to deliver regular and ad-hoc reports and simplify the month-end process.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Support: Collaborate with the corporate development team to analyze the financial viability of potential acquisitions and divestitures. Develop financial models and forecasts to support due diligence and valuation processes.


Technical Skills:


Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as international financial reporting standards (IFRS) (Australian parent).

General ledger maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of account balances and proper classification of transactions.

Governance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, including segregation of duties, authorization procedures, and documentation requirements.

Tax: Identify potential tax deductions, credits, or deferrals. Evaluate the tax implications of various business decisions.

  • Proficiency in financial accounting software including Power BI, Oracle EPM, D365, salesforce


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • CPA, CA, CFA, MBA Required
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in FP&A
  • IFRS/International Company Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, business combinations, revenue recognition, etc. required. Prior asset and investment management business experience a plus
  • SaaS, International, private equity or management consulting industry experience preferred
  • Experience with public company benchmarking and analyses
  • Big 4 or other public accounting experience preferred, specifically Transaction Services
