We are seeking an innovative and multidisciplinary Principal Scientist with over 15 years of experience in Industrial Biotechnology. As a seasoned R&D leader, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Scent research platform to drive product development.
Your activities will include some of the following:
- Identifies important, complex innovation problems and formulates strategies to resolve.
- Main contributor to development of new, executable concepts that address key business needs.
- Engages team, stakeholders and leadership in planning and achieving strategic focused objectives.
- Leads platform resource and research planning, and monitors execution to accomplish overall goals.
- Contributes to external scientific literature and conferences via significant papers, presentations, and patents.
- Communicates impact and consequences of significant platform changes to all levels.
- Manages large projects, programs, or initiatives across organizations.
- Mentors and acts as a role model to all levels within the organization.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related field.
- Experience: 15+ years in Industrial Biotechnology which includes leadership roles with a focus on raw materials and ingredient for fragrances.

- Microbial pathway design and optimization
- Product development and evaluation
- Effective communication across teams
- Patent strategy and portfolio management
- Mentorship and team development
- Excellent team player and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be effective in a growing, dynamic, and changing business environment.
