About the Role:
The laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to focus on the cancer-immune interface within various therapeutic frameworks, particularly in the areas of T cell therapy, cytokines, and innate immune modulation. The role involves conducting translational research with a specific emphasis on sarcoma and melanoma, while also exploring the immunological mechanisms behind responses and resistance to radiation therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead scientific experiments, including the design, execution, and analysis of data.
- Oversee and mentor junior lab members in their experimental designs and analyses.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Participate in the training and development of students and post-doctoral fellows.
- Work alongside lab technicians to manage laboratory resources effectively, including budget management and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in immunology, cancer biology, or a related discipline.
- Post-doctoral experience in relevant fields is preferred.
- Proficient in mouse models of cancer and immunotherapy.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques, particularly genetic manipulation of immune and cancer cells.
- Familiarity with microscopy, image analysis, and computational biology is advantageous.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
