Organizational and Department Leadership (30%)
• Serves as an active member of CCEJ’s Executive Team with VP of Institutional Transformation, Chief Development Officer, and Executive Director.
• Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the activities of all CCEJ Youth Leadership Programs.
• Contributes to a work culture that is rooted in CCEJ’s values and mission, supporting staff to build robust relationships, engage in healthy conflict, and practice equity with each other and the communities we serve.
• Develops, coaches, and retains high-performing team members, empowering them to advance their level of responsibility, outcomes, and professional fulfillment.
• Directly supervises two Program Directors and builds team capacity through mentoring, coaching, and annual performance reviews.
• Enforces all organizational policies and procedures.
• Supports organization-wide learning culture and centers professional development for self and team.
• Conducts reporting for government grants in a timely manner.
• Oversees Youth Leadership department budget and works with Program Directors to remain within budget.

Youth Programs Development (45%)
• Enhances and implements vision for youth leadership in CCEJ’s established strategic plan for 2027 through program development, execution, and evaluation.
• Develops new pilot career and education exposure programs in alignment with strategic vision and community need.
• Remains up to date regarding legislation, public sentiment, media, and sector-related challenges and opportunities that intersect with the criminal legal system, namely juvenile diversion and anti-oppression education in schools/nonprofits.
• Oversees and ensures evaluation of youth programs through development of outcomes, evaluation processes, and tools.
• Deepens partnerships with past school partners and alumni to measure CCEJ’s effectiveness.
• Attends youth programs regularly and takes on 1-2 Diversion cases per year.
• Provides high-level training and facilitation for a small number of contracts as needed.

Outreach and Fund Development (25%)
• Leads planning and program delivery to reach annual fee-for-service income goal for Youth Leadership program.
• Oversees all Youth Leadership Fee-For-Service contracts with external school/nonprofit partners, including prospecting potential partners, creating proposals for services, negotiating service contracts, and invoicing for completed services.
• Engages in select foundation and government grant fundraising, including proposal development, reporting, and site visit participation, in partnership with the Development Team.
• Participates in CCEJ special events to build relationships with donors, fee-for-service partners, and funders.
• Represents CCEJ at community meetings and networking events.
