An entertainment organization in California is currently seeking a new QA Specialist for a growing opportunity with their team. In this role, the QA Specialist will be responsible for supporting video player integrations for platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans and packs within TestRail or Qmetry
  • Focus on testing items that can be enabled without additional development work by the video player tech team, such as onboarding existing features on existing platforms
  • Manage test results and produce detailed reports and regularly liaise with project teams to understand testing requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement within the team, taking the initiative to achieve it and sharing knowledge across the team

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on testing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or a related field
  • Proven industry experience in video player testing, especially on mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of streaming technologies, AV codecs, and DRM system
  • Familiarity with video players like Theo, JW Player, and Shaka Player
  • Proficiency in debugging tools and log analysis, ideally using Charles Proxy
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
