This role will foster an ecosystem of Twilio developers and lead the product team building the tools and assets that make our developer customers successful.
Who?
Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has the necessary experience and credentials to own the end to end developer experience at Twilio, including but not limited to:
- Deep understanding of APIs, especially as they relate to the developer community
- 15 years of hands-on large team leadership experience within a high-growth technology driven environment
- Experience of managing, building, and developing cross-functional product teams of 50
- Ability to partner with marketing and other business units to drive awareness
- Unrivaled understanding of developer behavior, with a strong preference towards actually being a developer, or at least the capacity to walk in their shoes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their quantitative implications
- Detail-oriented with great organizational skills and a comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to be personable yet persistent
- Highly entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
- Passion for technology and communications, well-versed on the latest trends
- Ability to travel as needed

- BE AN OWNER & BE BOLD: Own the ecosystem for our self service across the Twilio product line
- WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES & DRAW THE OWL: Collaborate with the developer community to understand how to best drive developer happiness.
- WRITE IT DOWN: Drive the design and execution for developer happiness via API design, tools, documentation, etc
- BE INCLUSIVE: Build diverse and inclusive teams and seek out unique points of view to deliver products that reflect the global population and make communication more inclusive for all.
- EMPOWER OTHERS: Promote a positive work environment; select and train new team members; continuously provide feedback, mentoring, and coaching to existing team members.
