The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp on the media landscape and a love for writing, paired with an appetite for social media. They should have an interest in working on clients across a variety of industries, including travel/hospitality, real estate, food & beverage and consumer products, among others. 


Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive, integrated communications plans under the supervision of a PR account director
  • Keep current with client industry news to help generate creative ideas for unique storylines and tailored media relations campaigns for target audiences
  • Draft releases, pitches, talking points, fact sheets and other written materials with strong attention to detail
  • Research, build and manage target media lists for clients across multiple industries
  • Assist in preparing client reports and presentations on an ongoing basis, including monthly reporting with in-depth analysis and insights into data
  • Conduct research to support PR campaigns, including market research, media monitoring, and competitive analysis
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and prepare reports on PR campaign effectiveness
  • Research, draft and submit award entries on behalf of clients or the agency.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key local, regional and national media outlets, as well as freelancers and influencers 
  • Aid in the execution of FAM trips, trade shows, media activations and other special events
  • Contribute to social media management for select accounts, including brainstorming topics, drafting and scheduling content, community management, and reporting
  • Ensure client needs are met with a high level of client satisfaction
  • Responsible for the smooth and efficient day-to-day administration on assigned accounts, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining databases 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, advertising, marketing, business or related field
  • 1-2 years of related work experience in PR required. Prior agency experience preferred
  • Team-oriented and possesses an ability to motivate others
  • Self-motivated, ambitious and takes initiative to get things done
  • Enjoys fast-paced work environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication, including strong presentation skills and proficiency AP style
  • Knowledge of PR and social media industry tools, such as Cision, Muck Rack, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, and/or HubSpot 
  • Showcases a firm understanding of social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X
