Job Title: Junior AWS Cloud Engineer


Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated Junior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team and assist in the deployment, maintenance, and support of cloud-based infrastructure on AWS. In this role, you will collaborate with senior engineers and architects to help build, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud solutions, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Support: Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing AWS resources, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPCs.
  • Cost Optimization & Rightsizing: Help monitor and analyze cloud costs, identify opportunities for rightsizing resources, and implement strategies to minimize expenses without sacrificing performance.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security best practices and assist in maintaining AWS security configurations, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Automation: Work on automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or scripting languages like Python.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of experience working with AWS or cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of core AWS services and concepts (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Tagging, Scripting).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience automating routine tasks.
  • Experience with performance and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with development tools and languages common in cloud environments is a bonus (C#, Python, Javascript, Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification is highly preferable.
