Material Control Specialist (Contract Role) #1939OS
Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in warehouse operations? We're seeking a dynamic Material Control Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain and inventory management processes.
Contract: 6+ months
About the Role
As a Material Control Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our material handling operations. Your responsibilities may include receiving, put-away, packing, kitting, shipping, and inventory counting. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth material flow and accurate inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an organized and accessible inventory storage system
- Support manufacturing operations through efficient material handling and kitting
- Oversee inventory management, including Kanban system implementation
- Process domestic shipments, including packaging and documentation
- Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all paperwork and transactions
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts
- Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) documentation
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Contribute to a safe work environment and departmental process improvements
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work with minimal supervision
- Team player with multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation (desired)
- Knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems (a plus)
