Job Description

Visa has recently established the Finance Velocity Office, designed to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function. This newly created function will shape our transformation strategy, improve our business operations and enhance the impact we make as a function. Why velocity? This newly dedicated team will help us drive global consistency and operate as one team to:

  1. Build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams.
  2. Modernize our processes to enable better, faster decision making and drive more timely insights for our clients and business partners.
  3. Implement technology to evolve how we work together to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable our long-term growth agenda.
  4. Ensure a clear and measurable set of KPIs against our Finance OKRs and Scorecard to track, report and recognize key milestones and impact statements for our work product.

This is an individual contributor role, reporting to a leader in the Finance Velocity Team. This individual will partner closely with key stakeholders across the Finance function to achieve workstream objectives in alignment with the overall Finance Transformation strategy as well as oversee the work of and coach junior project team members in achieving objectives.

Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as a process improvement manager across assigned Transformation workstream(s).
  2. Maintain project cadence by delivering project plans, analysis, deliverables, trackers, and other key project documents, or by overseeing analysts in the delivery of these resources.
  3. Identify, manage, monitor, and communicate key transformation performance management metrics, developing and maintaining dashboards or overseeing analysts in the delivery metrics.
  4. Conduct stakeholder interviews, working independently to fully understand current processes and identify opportunities for improvement, such as streamlining, elimination, standardization, and automation.
  5. Create process documentation, process maps and document business requirements.
  6. Perform a variety of recurring or adhoc financial analysis activities.
  7. Conduct detailed driver analysis and support to build driver trees and other detailed taxonomy builds specific to Finance.
  8. Leverage technology to further improve processes where appropriate, including incorporating automation.
  9. Measure process improvements for data-driven accountability.
  10. Analyze transformation objectives and business needs using industry best practices to deliver recommendations.
  11. Design/facilitate training sessions (where necessary) to employees to understand, and adapt to process improvement changes.
  12. Contribute to materials, planning, and coordination for Transformation Leadership Team Meetings and project gatherings.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  1. 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
  2. Experience in 1 or more finance process area including but not limited to Quote to Cash, Record to Report, Financial Close, FP&A, and Source to Pay.
  3. Demonstrated ability to improve current state practices and own distinct pieces of end-to-end processes.
  4. Skilled in mapping and optimizing existing processes.
  5. Expertise with data analysis and financial modeling to perform adhoc analysis activities.
  6. Experience creating executive presentations and status updates to communicate progress to each respective audience.
  7. Experience working on multi-stakeholder initiatives, focused on improving the customer experience.
  8. Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.
  9. Enthusiasm for learning new technology and driving automation into processes to further improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, and achieve desired results.
  11. Experience communicating effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
  12. Resourceful, creative, and solution-oriented in ambiguous situations with willingness to "wear many hats", as needed.
  13. Ability to quickly accrue knowledge in unfamiliar subject matter and turn into actionable project initiatives.
  14. Can analyze multiple data sets, extract relevant insights and create compelling stories from insights.
  15. Strong collaborator in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.
  16. Strong influencing skills without direct authority.
  17. Strong interpersonal communication and information synthesis skills.
  18. Self-starter, results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and handle numerous projects concurrently.

Additional Information:

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 191,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
