Are you passionate about community, youth development, and healthy living? The Y, a leading non-profit, is looking for a dynamic Development Coordinator to join our team and support our mission of strengthening community through social responsibility.

The Development Coordinator supports the VP of Development & Social Responsibility and the Director of Development Operations in an array of administrative duties, including gift processing and data maintenance, donor stewardship, event planning, staff engagement, and general development office functions to enhance the Ys philanthropic efforts.

Schedule: The Development Coordinator will work an eight (8) hour day Monday-Friday in our Admin Office in downtown Burlington with the possibility of working remotely two (2) days a week.

What Youll Do:

  • Database Management: Manage our eTapestry database, enter gifts/pledges, manage recurring gifts, updating campaigns/approaches, and making sure everything is up to date and accurate.
  • Donor Relations & Stewardship: Write personal notes, make thank-you calls, and send handwritten thank-you notes to our amazing donors.
  • Event Planning: Plan and manage donor and board member events. Assist with planning and managing annual events such as our Annual Meeting and Kids Fest, including securing sponsorships.
  • Campaign Creation: Lead staff and member giving campaigns, from design to implementation.
  • Mailing: Handle all our mailings with care, from letters and newsletters to postcards and invitations.
  • Collaborate: Work with our Development and Communications/Marketing teams on impactful campaigns and projects as needed including gathering stories of impact to share with donors. Be part of our organization-wide initiatives and efforts. Work as a team member on other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Two plus (2+) years of experience in development required
  • Education: Bachelors degree preferred
  • Skills: Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent customer skills and ability to work under pressure. Research and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Data entry/Database experience (preferably Blackbaud), MS Office Suite/MS365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc).
  • Attitude: Positive, can-do attitude with a passion for community and social responsibility.
