Main Duties / Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the team’s job execution and overall performance for key metrics (OTD, Productivity, etc.) and provide reports as requested to management on those metrics.

  • Ensure customer requirements are met on time.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors and fellow employees at all levels of the company.
  • Build, develop, and lead the reporting team through recruitment, performance evaluations, KPIs, etc.
  • Establish curriculum for customized employee and customer training by generating documentation, training manuals, schedule classes, and provide complete product training.
  • Coordinate and assist the Quality team and Engineering as needed for total problem resolution.
  • Hire and train new production released personnel within acceptable quality standards.
  • Supervise the assembly and testing teams to ensure the products are assembled and tested to company standard and/or customer requirements in an efficient, timely, and safe manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the production of the product lines to meet delivery dates.
  • Coordinate and manage all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Secure new cost-effective outlets to add to the company’s existing supply chain network.
  • Request, receive and compare competitive quotes from various suppliers.
  • Ensure the procurement of all goods meets the company standards of quality, timely delivery, and price.
  • Lead finance, supply chain and logistics staff in resolving receipt and invoice discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
  • Explore global opportunities that benefit the overall company goals and effectively present options to company management.
  • Issue, manage and prioritize approved purchase orders and supporting documents to supplier as required.
  • Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements, contracts and report any nonconformance.


Requirements:

Accountabilities

  • Provide detailed feedback to Quality team and Engineering on quality and product performance issues.
  • Coordinate the supply chain of manufacturing facilities and third-party products in an effective manner.
  • Oversee the coordination of freight-forwarding services or related industry specialists to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the inventory of materials parts and finished products to maintain the required supply using established inventory policies such as min/max, safety stock levels, MOQs, etc.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout the facility, production, and supply chain processes.
  • Report to upper management defined metrics and any issues related to quality and delivery.
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts of all items for their accountable segment of the business by using a combination of statistical forecasting integrated with insights gained via partnering with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Production, and Executive management with the goal of reducing working capital and minimizing forecast error.
  • Manage the tracking of order acknowledgement, prepare and communicate shortage and backlog reports, and provide visibility of potential interruptions to internal clients (production and sales).

Authorities

  • Resolve issues related to supply chain (e.g. delivery delays, vendor quality, etc.)
  • Manage and use the ERP system to ensure all production and supply chain data is captured. Manage new items and products in the system related to supply chain activities.
  • Manage inventory transactions and balances and establish inventory policies that are in line with management’s plans.
  • Execute new vendor evaluations per company’s standards.
  • Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring, and assessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices.
  • Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies. Identify bottlenecks and provide options for resolution to management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/Masters or Equivalent
  • Min. 10 yrs. Experience in related field
  • Related training in : APIQ1 / HSE, Operations, Purchasing & Supply Management
