Safety and Compliance Specialist
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position Type: Full-time, In-office.

Job Summary:
The Safety and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and compliance programs within our automotive repair facilities. This role involves conducting regular inspections and ensuring that all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety, environmental compliance, and automotive repair industry standards.


Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Safety Programs:
Create and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Compliance Management:
Ensure all operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory changes.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Incident Management:
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain records of safety incidents and compliance activities.
Employee Training and Support:
Conduct regular safety meetings and drills.
Provide guidance and support to employees on safety and compliance issues.
Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive records of safety inspections, training sessions, and compliance audits.
Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving safety and compliance processes.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety and compliance, preferably in the automotive repair industry.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
Experience in conducting safety training and audits.

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Certifications:
Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., OSHA 30-hour, CSP) is preferred.
