Summary:

Island Creek Associates, a professional services firm, is currently seeking an Engineering Technician at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of 21 CES FSRM projects.
  • Perform all required PMTL data entry for assigned projects.
  • Develop Task Order requirements and acquisition packages for government use, completing 2-4 requirement packages per month.
  • Coordinate with customers, facility managers, and other governmental personnel – as necessary – to define project requirements, ensure compliance with Federal, State, local, and Air/Space Force regulations.
  • Prepare Statements of Work (SOW), develop cost estimates, and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission.

Required Experience:

Five (5) years of experience as a mechanical engineering technician or electrical engineering technician. Must have experience performing the duties and responsibilities listed above.

 

Desired Experience:

Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques in order to support complex engineering assignments relating to civil engineering disciplines. Experience in DoD project programming and development of programming documents (e.g. DD 1391s) and in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow established project related procedures and complete established project milestones. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Contractor is required to be on-site at PSFB during normal operating hours (business days) 0730 – 1630. Work shall consist of 40-hour workweeks, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and down days.

 

Travel:

No travel is required for this position.

 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

This position is subject to a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check.  Ideal candidates will currently have installation access to Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), however, candidates with US Citizenship or non-U.S. citizens with a Work Permit Visa, Passport, or Alien Registration Card with immigration number will be considered. Must be able to receive a Government Common Access Card (CAC), access Government systems, and pass a criminal history background check and Wants/Warrants check.
