Entech’s staff of professional geologists and geotechnical engineers complete subsurface explorations programs and designs for a wide variety of projects including residential and commercial developments, industrial buildings, municipal bridges and roadways, municipal facilities, luxury custom homes, production model homes, multifamily structures, and utility providers. In addition, Entech regularly performs land use and geologic hazard studies. Entech has extensive experience providing identification of geologic conditions (e.g., groundwater, expansive soils, and rockfall) that may affect the proposed design as well as providing mitigation techniques and alternatives. Design services include shallow, deep, and specialty foundation design recommendations, retaining wall design, pavement design, pipeline design, and slope stability analysis.

Entech also maintains a fleet of in-house geotechnical drill rigs including both truck-mounted and limited-access rigs. With Entech’s in-house drill rigs, we are able to effectively manage project schedules as well as project quality and safety. Upon completion of drilling, soil samples are transported to our in-house laboratory for testing.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering required, MS desirable
  • Professional Engineering (PE) Licensed in Colorado
  • 4+ years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage geotechnical subsurface exploration programs and geotechnical lab testing programs
  • Interpret geological characteristics of soil samples
  • Perform geologic mapping and reconnaissance
  • Prepare geotechnical and pavement design reports
  • Perform slope stability analyses
  • Complete pavement designs
  • Complete retaining wall designs and plans
  • Review technical reports and calculations completed by staff engineers/technicians
  • Review materials testing /quality control data and reports
  • Manage projects: budgets, schedules, client contacts, and internal staff
  • Perform site observations as necessary
  • Coordinate with clients and prepare proposals
  • Lead, mentor, oversee, and/or supervise engineers and other employees
