Automotive Service Lane Manager

Monday-Friday 7 AM to 5:30 PM

NO WEEKENDS

As the Service Lane Manager, you are responsible for the customer-focused and efficient operation of the dealerships Service Lane. In this hands-on role, you will interact with the service lane team, customers, and directly manage the flow of the lane to ensure customer satisfaction, efficiency, growth, and profitability objectives and goals are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, engage and motivate the service team to achieve key goals and objectives
  • Oversee service lane operations, write up process, sales techniques, and customer service
  • Train, develop, and support service advisors, greeters, porters
  • Monitor and control the performance of the service department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, customer surveys/cases, and CSI spreadsheet.
  • Implement strategies and action plans to continuously improve customer satisfaction and retention
  • Work closely with Shop Foreman/Dispatcher to maximize shop productivity and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Actively participate planning/running Service Advisor and Shop Meetings
  • Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
  • Ensure customers receive prompt and courteous service
  • Provide complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and OSHA compliance

Qualifications

  • 3+ Years of Service Advisor or Service Management Experience
  • Team-oriented and hands on leadership style
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficient, both with DMS and Microsoft Office programs
