We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Vumedi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your contributions will directly impact the success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage general accounting transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the annual budgeting process and provide financial insights to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives.
- Assist with audits and tax filings as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally within a tech startup or dynamic growth company
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification or progress towards CPA eligibility preferred.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
- Audit preparation experience
- Proficiency in Netsuite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
