Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bulk Tank Cleaner/Environmental Technician to join our team in Anchorage Alaska. This role is crucial to our operations, as it involves the safe and efficient cleaning of large bulk tanks, waste management, and other environmental/industrial services.

Key Responsibilities May Included:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of large bulk tanks using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations while handling hazardous materials.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of tank conditions, identifying any issues or potential hazards.
  • Assist in spill response and remediation activities as needed, including containment and cleanup.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on industry best practices and regulations.
  • Inspect, handle, containerize, load/unload, and transport waste and materials.
  • Operate light and heavy vehicles and equipment: trucks, forklifts, Pressure washers, plows, pumps, etc.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of industrial systems.
  • Confined space entry at all levels including supervisor
  • General warehouse operations, labor, and housekeeping.
  • Pumping and movement of fluids and other materials.
  • Provide excellent customer service and client relations.
  • Abide by company drug-free policy including recreational and medicinal marijuana.
  • Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience cleaning bulk tanks with lead tech/supervisory level skillset
  • Possess or obtain a 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in Alaska.
  • Ability to work effectively in physically demanding and potentially hazardous conditions, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
  • Pass pre-employment background checks and drug test including marijuana
  • Ability to pass a government background check for port and military installation access
  • Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL highly desired
  • Ability to pass occupational and DOT physicals
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Have a positive attitude, Integrity, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (labor intensive)
  • Ability to travel and work at various sites within the state of Alaska, including remote locations
