We are looking for a responsible Office Assistant to perform a variety of administrative, accounting and clerical tasks. I need someone with basic accounting knowledge and a creative side. Duties of the Office Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. If you have a familiarity within our industry, we’d like to meet you. If you have any warehouse experience and office experience, you are encouraged to apply. Ultimately, a successful Office Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

Responsibilities

  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Maintain the filing system
  • Keep inventory on office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Liaise with Office Manager, Accounts Receivable, Purchaser and General Manager to handle requests and queries from senior managers.
  • Track and process credit memos from vendors and corresponding claims
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • This position should expect to help with a wide variety of tasks. The focus will be on the claims process and three-way matching
  • Website/parts catalog updates

This position should expect to help with a wide variety of tasks. The focus will be on the claims process and vendor 3-way matching. This is a part time position to start off then will quickly move into full time.


Skills

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus


Wage is dependent upon experience.

Salary: $17+ per hour
