Job Summary
Our client is looking for a high-energy individual to join our team In this role, the Emerging Accounts Sales Associate will be responsible for all communication, sales, and relationship management for designated priority accounts, with a key focus on up-and-coming brands in the natural products space. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for “hunting” new business opportunities and lead generation
- Present and sell company flagship, branded, and specialty nutraceutical ingredients to potential and existing customers in the designated territory
- Manage and develop existing/new relationships
- Meet and/or exceed pre-defined sales targets
- Position our client in the marketplace as a trustworthy, flexible, and knowledgeable leader in the functional ingredient space
- Demonstrate willingness and capacity for excellent presentation skills
- Be the voice of the customer and manage the customers' expectations and goals
- Organize and handle customer meetings in a professional manner
- Manage the sales plan fully and effectively to its fullest
- Become an expert on all our client's branded ingredients
- Manage projects through our CRM program
- Come to work every day ready to work
- Be open-minded about trying new ways of doing things
- Travel – 5% (Mainly Industry Tradeshows)

Position Expectations
- Sales performance goals will be established within the first 30-60 days of employment
- Each Account Executive shall open a minimum of five “NEW” accounts per quarter
- Each Account Executive must reach out to a minimum of 90 companies per week (min of 18 per day)
- Each Account Executive must follow the Active Account Plan for maintaining communication with current accounts
- “New” Accounts are defined as all sales opportunities: an ingredient sold to a new account, a new ingredient sold to an existing account, or a new product that is being launched by an existing account. Also, any repeat business that has not occurred in the prior calendar year.
Territory
- Designated Priority Accounts across the United States and Canada
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience selling ingredients to the Dietary Supplement and Food & Beverage industries or 1 to 2 years of B2B sales experience in another industry (Preferred but not required)
- Experience selling to companies in the following channels: Food Drug Mass, Practitioner, MLM, Contract Manufacturers, Retail Natural Health, and Direct-to-consumer (Preferred but not required)
- Willingness to learn, work the sales plan, be open-minded, and be a great team member
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs in addition to overall computer skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation: $70,000
