We are hiring a Silkscreen Printer/Ink Specialist to print, color match and mix in for silkscreen printing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Silkscreen Printing
- Analyze internal manufacturing documents to accurately produce finished product.
- Prepare silkscreens and material for printing.
- Operate a semi-automated silkscreen machine.
- Verify artwork and color accuracy to previous production documentation and retains.
- Document all pertinent information and file retains to ensure repeatability.
Color Matching and Ink Mixing
- Analyze internal manufacturing documents to create custom color matches based on client specifications.
- Create small batch ink formulas for the production of samples.
- Verify and ensure all color matches are correct.
- Create scaled large batch ink formulas for the production of jobs.
- Document all pertinent information and file retains to ensure repeatability.
Qualifications:
- Experience with silkscreen printing.
- Experience with color matching and formulation.
- Strong ability to color correct.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong math skills (multiplication, fractions and percentiles)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Commercial graphics experience a plus.
- Familiarity with spectrometers a plus.
Manufacturing environment, work around acetone based chemicals. Work days around 7:00am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.
