This Opportunity:

  • Plan and develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, in collaboration with stakeholders and team members.
  • Define project requirements, identifying necessary resources, and establishing project timelines.
  • Develop creative solutions to complex wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other wastewater professionals.
  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement effective project management methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and recommendations to project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project success.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to wastewater treatment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience designing and/or managing wastewater or conveyance projects
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically managing wastewater treatment facility projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, equipment, and regulations.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Residence in Charlottesville, VA or surrounding areas. Qualified candidates from other states may be considered, depending on skills and experience.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and mentor team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
